Here, at UAlbany’s Uptown Campus in the Science Library (SL 012), be sure to swing by Friday, October 18, from 2:30 to 5:30.

This workshop is designed for those interested in learning about distributed revision control, source management, repositories, and full version tracking capabilities. Does it sound intriguing but you just don’t know what to make of it? Then come and learn what it is and how you can use it to your advantage in your career!

Git is used by major companies; earlier last month a student submitted to the blog who had used Git and Github at their own internship*. And this workshop is a great opportunity to add this tool to your resume and make you yet more attractive to potential employers.

Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • Command Line
  • Repositories
  • Version Control
  • Commit
  • Branch
  • And much, much more!

Plus, there’s sustenance: snacks will be provided.

If this sounds like a great opportunity or even if it’s just the snacks that pique your appetite, please take the time to register for this event at:
