Join the Revitalization!
The student chapter of the Special Libraries Association is having a revitalization meeting on Wednesday, February 27th at 5:30pm in the Draper lounge. Come brainstorm activities for the coming semesters, find out about leadership opportunities in the student group, and have a bite to eat.
SLA is a fun and friendly organization, serving information professionals all over the world. Members are information professionals working in corporations, government agencies, museums, universities, hospitals, associations, law firms – you name it! There are lots of local opportunities for networking and professional development, helping you take your classroom skills into the working world. You can learn more at www.sla.org or http://www.unysla.org/.
There’s lots of special libraries stuff going on in the next few months –the Upstate New York SLA spring meeting will be in Albany in April and IST 619 Special Libraries will be taught this summer. If you have an interest in special libraries, this is a great time to get involved!
If Wednesday evening doesn’t work for you, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, and I’ll be sure to add you to our list and keep you up-to-date with chapter activities.
See you today!
