Are you interested in a career in cybersecurity? In response to the urgent need for skilled cybersecurity professionals, the CyberAces Foundation and the State of New York announce the New York Senator’s Cup Cyber Challenge. The Challenge is free for all students and has two parts – an on-line competition and a state finals event to be held at NYU Polytechnic on April 20, 2013.

Top scorers in the on-line competition will qualify to compete at the state finals event.

The top scoring NY students from the Fall 2012 and Winter 2013 Cyber Quests challenges will be formally invited to compete in the NetWars Tournament at The Polytechnic Institute of New York University, Brooklyn, NY. NetWars is the hands-on, interactive learning environment with a focus on skills information security professionals use in their jobs every day. The Air Force relies on NetWars for its intermediate network warfare training program and military officers cannot graduate from the training program without high level mastery of NetWars.

NetWars covers topics such as system hardening, packet analysis, digital forensics, vulnerability assessment, and much more. But NetWars also has basic levels that enable young people to demonstrate they have the aptitude to excel and also gives them a fascinating real-world environment to demonstrate their skills.
