This week:

Copyright Study Group with Lorre Smith at the SCALA Meeting 3:15pm, Husted 008

University Librarian and copyright guru Lorre Smith will be leading a discussion of the public domain, open access, orphan works and Creative Commons. Copyright is thorny and it is becoming increasingly important for librarians to have some base knowledge of the finer points and issues. Lorre is great at bringing copyright down to an understandable and manageable level, we’re so happy to have her.

We’ll also be making an announcement at the meeting about our trip to a rural library and our joint trip with the Archiving group to NYC to visit the Frick Art Reference Library coming up on the 20th of April.

Hoping to see everyone on Tuesday,

Jenny UA SCALA president.
