It’s Community Service Month!

Tuesday

Resume and Interview Advice night with Employers | 5 PM in Career Services, G-50, Science Library
“Each student will have 20 minutes with an employer to go over their resume and also talk about how to interview well. This is not a formal interview, it for practice only. No appointment needed. Representatives from IBM, Nfrastructure, Keybank, CSC.”

 

Wednesday

Action and Service Fair | 10-2 PM in Lecture Center Concourse
“The fair will provide an opportunity for each organization to showcase the unique opportunities they provide, as well as engage students to apply for community or national service experiences, fellowships, and internships.”

 

ASIS&T Meeting | 8 PM in LI-98, CS conference room, uptown campus

 

Thursday

Introduction to HTML & XHTML | 10:15 AM in the Library basement, b15, Interactive Media Center
“Use a text editor to write code. Learn the basic elements and common tags used in web page construction. Employ the rules of the W3C standard markup language for website design. Walk-ins welcomed.”

 

SCALA meeting | 3:15 PM in Draper Student Lounge, downtown campus
“We will be discussing several upcoming events.”

 

Save the date!

Fallbany |  October 15
“We invite the campus community and our neighbors for a host of activities on the Science Library lawn. The festival will include a book fair featuring faculty and alumni authors, live student performances, science demonstrations, a farmers’ market, a sheepherding demonstration, a Great Dane rescue, kids’ activities, such as pumpkin decorating and a rock climbing wall, an array of food, and more. Also at the site, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., is the annual Touchdown Tailgate Party before our Homecoming football game.  Come and cheer on our Great Danes when they tackle the Robert Morris Colonials.  Kick-off is at 1 p.m. on nearby University Field.
